Design personnel can help you develop your own plan or modify one of ours. For instance, Plan AL-144L, a 960 square foot cabin (24 feet by 40 feet) is designed to meet basic needs. However, this Standard Plan can be customized significantly. Interior space can be reassigned to include a second or even a third bedroom; add a dormer wall to the loft; or add a second dormer for even more room. If you don't want a loft, we can redesign without one. So far, we have twelve different floor plans! For this model, consider combinations of decks and porches, or design the living room wall with or without a fireplace. No fireplace? Then maybe an extra window or a solid log wall on which to backdrop an efficient wood burning stove. Then again, design a solar efficient window wall and face it south! The possible combinations could exceed one hundred. Now, that is Custom Design! We will happily prepare a price estimate for your custom plan. This estimate includes plan development and drafting services.

 

If you want to design a custom home before you place your deposit, we can design you plans "up front" for a minimum $1000 drafting fee.  This fee will apply towards your contract amount.
